A Knight's Tale is my most favorite story in the book of Canterbury Tales and at the same time, this is also the story that has been assigned for our group to perform that's why I know this tale very well unlike the other stories which I do had a hard time understanding because of lack of my interest on it.
In this story there is a princess named Emelye and I really looooove how perfect she is described! It was said that she is pretty, kind and charming the reasons why the two knight from Thebes fell in love with her so easily. When I first read the summary of it, it really got me like magic! I got hooked to it.
The Knight's Tale is a 'LOVE STORY' and that has been one of my major reason why I love it but seriously I like it when Arcite died in the end.. Okay I'm going to be really honest, I love Romantic-tragedy type of stories I love it when one of the characters die in the end. Let's face it I'm hopelessly addicted to tragedy. I learned a lot of lessons in this story. My most favorite is the dialogue is "People are meant to die" delivered by King Theseus. For me, I classify this story as a fairy tale because in the end THEY ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
